Manchester City star Raheem Sterling may be a Premier League title winner, but he’s still getting a rough ride from football fans.
The England international has thrilled with his improvement under Pep Guardiola and has scored 17 goals, so far, for the Citizens in top flight fixtures.
Many fans and pundits, though, have accused Sterling of missing too many clear cut opportunities when through on goal.
Against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, despite scoring Man City’s third, this appeared to bear out, with the player failing to capitalise on excellent opportunities.
However, statistics from OPTA throw this talk out of the window with Sterling the tenth best converter of what the data analysts claim to be ‘big chances’.
This puts him ahead of team-mates Sergio Aguero , Gabriel Jesus, and Leroy Sane.
